Project Overview: The WLSCILIAW project asks students to teach themselves a lifeskill they wish they were learning in school. Students design their own learning objectives and learning processes in advance, and then fulfill them during the three days of IC that occur in a week. The following week's first Inquiry Class will be a Teaching Day in which each student teaches their newly learned skill to rotating groups of five other students. All students are responsible for archiving one artifact of their learning each day on their websites. They are also responsible for securing all the materials needed for their Teaching Day. The project will move through two iterations, on separate weeks. For each iteration students will identify and learn a different lifeskill. Those students NOT defending portfolios this year (7th, 9th, and 11th graders) may have an opportunity for a third iteration of learning.
